Instructions for Candle Sand
At Simpsons of London, we make creating your own candle easy and enjoyable. Just follow these simple steps…
1-POUR
Select your favourite bowl, vase or other container and fill with Candle Sand.
2-PLACE
Place a wick in the centre or as needed. Every order includes a set of natural wicks.
3-LIGHT
Light the wick with a match and enjoy a smoke-free and clean burn.
4-REPEAT
Reuse your Candle Sand, refresh the wick, or try a new bowl.
At Simpsons of London, creating your own candle is easy and enjoyable. Just follow these simple steps: Choose a Heatproof Container: a fire-safe bowl, glass, or ceramic container with stable sides. Pour in the Candle Sand: fill the container with your desired amount of candle sand. For best results, pour to a depth of at least 2–3 cm. Insert the Wick: place the wick into the sand and ensure it stands upright. It should protrude around 1 cm above the surface. For a single wick, allow at least 7 cm of space around it. For multiple wicks, keep each wick at least 7 cm apart. Light the Wick: carefully light the wick and enjoy the warm, ambient glow. Replace When Needed: once the wick has burned down, simply remove the remaining stub, level the sand, and insert a new wick. To reuse leftover, unburnt wax on the wick, flip it upside down (with any hardened wax still attached), insert it back into the sand, and light it again.
Safety Tips: Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from flammable materials, children, and pets. Ensure the container is stable and won’t tip over easily.
