Our candle-sand and wicks are vegan – made without any animal-derived ingredients and have not been tested on animals. Simpsons of London Candle Sand is made of 100% plant-based wax. It is biodegradable, renewable, and cruelty-free. Our wicks are made from stabilised Cotton. This means they align with vegan principles, making them suitable for people avoiding animal products for ethical, environmental, or health reasons.

Simpsons of London Candle Sand is originally unscented, offering a natural experience. For those who prefer a scented atmosphere, you can easily infuse the sand with your choice of essential or candle fragrance oils before lighting. Remember to do this before igniting the candle, as adding oils to a lit candle can be hazardous.

As our candle sand is made from plant-based materials, this makes for a clean burning experience which is also safe for pets. While it is non-toxic, we do still recommend keeping it out of reach of pets, especially when the candle is lit. Should your furry friends knock it over accidentally, our Candle Sand’s unique design ensures that the candle self-extinguishes when tipped over, adding an extra layer of safety.

We avoid using any parabens, paraffin, or artificial fragrances. The wicks are made from natural cotton, aligning with our commitment to safety and sustainability.
